I don't live in America, and I'm not best at American themes in relation to Fallout games. What I do suggest though is going for a location which is ripe with tall buildings. I imagine, in the fallout world, that there would be many interlocking sky walkways and exploring these (as well as the dangerous city floors and tunnels) would be a pretty damn awesome addition.
Fallout 4 Base Mod
Not only that, but it would add chances for interesting settlements and stories above the ground. The only problem would be odd transition from inner city to the open wasteland that is the heart of modern fallout games but the idea seems to cool to pass up, even if it is in a relatively small area. I have always wanted a fallout game in New York City. At this point in the story line I think enough Enclave/Brotherhood has made it east to make it relevant. It would be much like you described, sky walkways and entire towns of people who live above the ground, almost as if the city has a full second level. However, underneath, Central Park overgrows into this crazy radioactive jungle and subways acting as caves. I know it sounds a little like crysis 3 but it would give the game two completely different environments and would make for an awesome time.In other words, you have an awesome idea and I completely agree. That's true, I loved New Vegas more as well for the 'polished' feel.
They did so much more with it - Fallout 3 seems dull afterwards, even though I never really finished it or even explored everything. The atmosphere of FO3 was superior, but the rest New Vegas got right. However, on the other hand, the game was even buggier than promised by the reviewers. Literally bugs everywhere. Getting stuck in the rocks with no hope of fast-travel and most of all, that 'savegame forever stuck at loading' were the worst. The latter one can be solved by starting a new game and then loading the save. It's extremely frustrating because sometimes you have to go back a while earlier or at other times lose the ability to play New Vegas for a few weeks.
This mod introduced many new buildings into the game, which can be placed around the settlements - this includes houses, warehouses, greenhouses, radio towers, and even lighthouses. The modification introduces many novelties also to the interiors of the buildings, as it adds multiple decorative elements. From now on, players can place inside their structures new beds, chairs, shower baths, bathtubs, and even coffee makers. The author of this mod has also implemented new plants and various light sources - lanterns, table lamps, and candles. Moreover, he took care of the defenses by adding new types of fence, barricades, military blockades, and walls. InstallationThis modification can be installed with Nexus Mod Manager.
When installing it, you can select two optional settings:. Streetlights Use Passive Power - this patch makes the lanterns from the previous version of the mod draw the energy passively from nearby energy sources instead of direct connection. Unlocked Institute Objects - this option immediately unlocks Institute's buildings and objects.
By default, they become available upon completing a certain stage in the main story campaign.
